Incident at Aux Sable Elementary has Dist. 201 at 'heightened state of alert'
MINOOKA, Ill. — A student was reportedly approached by a stranger on the playground at Aux Sable Elementary School in Minooka during lunchtime Wednesday, Sept. 12.
The student did not report the incident to adults at the school, but rather told a parent after school.
Five school staff members were on the playground while the children were playing that day, said Superintendent Al Gegenheimer of Minooka Elementary School District 201, but none of them witnessed the incident.
