Man files lawsuit due to daughter’s injuries in 2010 Minooka accident

A man and his daughter injured in a 2010 vehicle crash in Minooka recently filed suit against the driver of a vehicle they were riding in.

According to Grundy County Circuit Court records, Robert Litoborski, filing for himself and his daughter Megan, is suing David Hibbard of Coal City.

Litoborski claims that on Oct. 11, 2010, him and his daughter were in a vehicle Hibbard was driving when a collision occurred as the vehicle traveled south on Ridge Road near Lakewood Trails Drive. The suit alleges Hibbard failed to decrease his speed to avoid an accident and was following another vehicle too closely, among other charges.

He claims his daughter sustained severe and permanent injuries from the crash, in addition to his injuries, and is seeking at minimum $50,000 to cover medical and other expenses.

Melanie J. Sims of Chicago firm Anesi, Ozmon Rodin, Novak and Kohen, Ltd., is representing Litoborski.
