Right at the onset of the football season, things did not go particularly well for the Yorkville football team. Coming out against an Ottawa team that it stunned in overtime a year ago, the Foxes could not withstand a Pirates onslaught in a decisive 49-0 thumping.

However, since then Yorkville has rebounded to win three straight games and appears to have the ship righted under venerable coach Karl Hoinkes.

"We see a lot of good things out of them," Morris coach Alan Thorson said. "On film, they do a lot of things well."
