New police chief takes over in Pontiac; fire chief resigns
PONTIAC (MCT) — Just as the search for a Pontiac police chief has formally ended, the city now has to find a new fire chief.
The City Council this week removed the “interim” from Jim Woolford’s title, officially appointing him as police chief, and learned Fire Chief John Cummins has resigned, effective Oct. 1.
