Mazon businesses help provide over four tons of food to 170 area families

Approximately 170 area families took part in the mobile food pantry in Mazon on Wednesday, Sept. 12. Mazon State Bank, ITW Filtration Systems and Seco Systems sponsored the monthly food distribution.

With a total of 8,309 pounds of food delivered, each household received approximately 48 pounds of food, including 15 pounds of frozen meat and a wide variety of other items, including cheese, lunch meat, five-pound bags of potatoes, grape soda, bagged salads and bread.
