Corrupt attorney who cooperated in Blagojevich probe gets probation
(MCT) — A former attorney for the state’s largest teachers’ pension fund who cooperated with federal investigators after being snared in the probe that ultimately felled former Gov. Rod Blagojevich was sentenced today in federal court in Chicago to two years of probation.
Steve Loren pleaded guilty in 2005 to corruption charges stemming from his role as outside counsel for the Teachers Retirement System.
