Look for Cubs’ top young prospects in Kane County
CHICAGO (MCT) — Jorge Soler is considered one of the Cubs’ top prospects, and the team already is hyping the Cuban outfielder as a key building block for the future.
But the Cubs decided not to include Soler as one of their eight Arizona Fall League prospects on the Mesa Solar Sox. Though the AFL is the traditional proving ground for team’s best prospects, Soler will work with Cubs instructors at the team’s complex in Mesa, playing in Instructional League games where stats don’t count.
