Suspect, 17, arraigned on charge she stabbed woman in head with butcher's knife
DECATUR (MCT) — A 17-year-old female was arraigned Tuesday on a felony charge of aggravated battery after she allegedly stabbed a 20-year-old woman in the head with a butcher knife.
The victim told police that Lashay Jelks came to a residence in the 200 block of West Packard Street at 2:40 a.m. Saturday to confront an occupant about the theft of a wallet, according to an arrest affidavit by Decatur master patrol officer James Owens.
