Burke leaves post for broader role with Shaw Media
Bricker to lead transition until general manager is hired
Re-broadening his focus to assisting all properties within Shaw Media, Gerry Burke will leave his position as publisher of the Morris Daily Herald, effective Thursday, Sept. 20.
Burke, who came to the Morris Daily Herald as general manager in September 2005, will assume a company-wide role as part of the media chain’s One Great Company initiative. The initiative, launched in 2011, emphasizes Shaw Media’s duties to provide relevant information to readers, marketing solutions to clients, and advocacy for the community.
