Redskins outlast Foxes

The last day of summer felt an awful lot like fall on Friday night as the Morris Redskins took on the Yorkville Foxes in Northern Illinois Big 12 action, but after a slow start, the Redskins offense really heated things up.

The Redskins defense made a stand on the Yorkville’s opening drive and forced a punt that was unfortunately muffed by junior defensive back and return man Kyle Hill. After extending the Yorkville drive on a personal foul, the Foxes got on the board first with a 28-yard field goal by Artan Emini.

The penalties proved to be costly all night for the Redskins.
