Wilmington walks past Seneca

SENECA — It was the case of the irresistible force against the immovable object. Otherwise known as the Wilmington Wildcats, to the Seneca Fighting Irish and their fans Friday night in the Interstate Eight Conference Small Division showdown.

Wilmington limited Seneca to 98 yards of total offense and seven first downs while posting a 31-0 white-washing of the Irish. As a result, the Wildcats became the lone undefeated (3-0) squad in the Small while Seneca drops to 2-1.

The IHSA state-ranked Class 3A Wildcats scored four touchdowns and
added a late field goal in the opening stanza.
