Four injured in Saturday crash on I-80
Four people were taken to an area hospital following a crash involving a semi-trailer hauling onions on Interstate 80 Saturday night.
According to Illinois State Police Master Sergeant Martez Malone, the crash took place at about 7:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-80 near mile marker 112.
Morris Fire and Ambulance Protection District Chief Tracey Steffes said the department responded to the crash, which involved a single vehicle. Four people from the semi-trailer's cab were able to exit without extrication and were transported to Morris Hospital. Steffes said the four were not critically injured.
