Margaret J. Knudson

Mrs. Margaret J. Knudson, 94, of Morris, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon,  Sept. 22, 2012, at her home with her children by her side.

Born Nov. 14, 1917, at the Ripley-Benz home in Lisbon Township, Kendall County, Margaret was the only child of William J. and Beulah A. (Benz) Southcombe. She received her elementary education at Lisbon Grade  School, graduated from Yorkville High School with the class of 1935 and attended Illinois State Normal University in Normal, Ill.

Margaret married the love of her life, Jay A. Knudson, on Feb. 14, 1939, at the Ripley-Benz home in Lisbon Township, Kendall County.
