Mr. and Mrs. John (Lois) Snyder will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at the Morris VFW.

All friends and family are welcome to come and enjoy the day with John and Lois. Lunch will be served during the celebration.

They ask that no gifts be given, your presence is the only present they need.

John Snyder and the former Lois Elam were married Sept. 27, 1952, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Morris, after having met at Mazon High School. The late Jerry Snyder was the best man, and the late Rita (Elam) Wright was the maid of honor.

The two have spent their entire married life in Morris. John and Lois have been blessed with five children, 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

They are both retired and enjoy spending time with their large family. Every year, they spend their winter in Florida, and will be doing so again this year.
