Find ways to challenge yourself

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

A couple weeks ago I ran my first half marathon. While the training was often grueling (waking up at 5 a.m. to run 10 miles), I am so proud of what I accomplished. To me it wasn’t about my time or my pace, it was about doing something I never thought I was capable of.

Whether it’s exercising more, eating healthier, or learning to fly a plane, setting a personal goal and working to accomplish it helps us to feel alive and to love ourselves and our life.

I encourage all of you to find that personal goal or challenge you’ve been holding back on. Take it out, dust it off, and go for it. There’s no time like the present.

A big thanks to my friend Steph who not only talked me into this endeavor, but helped me to see it through all the way to the end.
