CenterPoint executive to lead new regional planning group

(MCT) — Michael M. Mullen, co-founder and vice chairman of CenterPoint Properties, will serve as Illinois chair of the newly formed Tri State Alliance for Regional Development, the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce announced this week.

The nascent organization, which will have Indiana and Wisconsin chairs as well, will push for increased inter-state cooperation on projects that have the potential to boost the regional economy. It will use the recent study by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development as its blueprint. The chamber commissioned that study.
