Operations unaffected by shop fire at Dresden
Spokesman: Blaze in building separate from nuclear reactor
A fire Sunday evening at the Dresden Generating Station in Morris did not affect day-to-day operations, according to the station's spokesman.
Site spokesman Bob Osgood said Monday the incident was in a part of the station's campus that housed tools, tool benches and where personnel worked on project mockups.
"It was in our mechanical maintenance shop," he said. "It's in a separate building from where our reactor and power generating equipment is located."
