Two drivers were cited following a two-vehicle crash that sent one person to the hospital.

According to the Morris Police Department crash report, the crash took place Wednesday in the 1700 block of Division Street. A 2000 Pontiac Bonneville driven by Amy L. Borchelt, 40, of Coal City allegedly struck the rear of a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Rhonda M. Grayling, 53, of Braidwood, which was stopped in traffic in a southbound lane.

Grayling told police she was stopped in traffic when she was struck from behind. Borchelt told police she was traveling south when she was struck by an unidentified driver in the rear. The driver was described as driving a white car, which left the scene. A passenger in Grayling’s vehicle was unable to confirm the white car with police.

Grayling said her vehicle was pushed into an SUV, which left the scene after not finding damage to his vehicle.

According to the report, Grayling was taken to Morris Hospital for a neck injury. Her vehicle had minor damage to her rear bumper, while Borchelt had rear and front end damage.

Grayling was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle and Borchelt was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured vehicle.
