Neeka Garcia's 9 kills and 2 blocks led Seneca (12-10, 5-3) in a 19-25, 25-20, 25-21 sophomore win. Danielle Chismerick served up 19 points and 5 aces.

SANDWICH — Britta Spelde had 4 kills and Claire Smith added 3 for Coal City (14-9, 6-2) Tuesday in I-8 play. Nicole Borgetti had 3 blocks, Brittany Jezi had 6 digs, Kassie Aldridge had 5 digs and 8 assists and Kristen Pearcy had 4 assists for the Lady Coalers.

"We grabbed momentum from the first service and never looked back," Coal City coach Michael Lanoue said.

NEWARK — Abbey Akre's 7 kills were a Newark (19-4) high. Taylor Krug and Kristina Nichols had 4 kills and Lauren Tollefson added 13 assists.

DWIGHT — Savannah Schuler had 4 kills and Lindsay Kaiser and Hayley Sparrow 3 for the Lady Trojans (7-16, 3-5) in the I-8 Tuesday.

Dwight won 25-11, 25-9 at the sophomore level behind 5 kills from Quinn Bossert.
