Warriors sweep Mokena, with varsity moving to 6-1

The Morris Warriors varsity youth football team continued its march toward the playoffs with a 24-0 win over the Mokena Junior Griffins on Saturday.

Keagan Sobol ran back the opening kickoff for a 73-yard touchdown. Offensively the Warriors put up over 200 yards on the ground behind running from Michael Gerischer, Austin Dearing, Kyion Willis and Alec Matteson. The 6-1 Warriors defense got leading efforts from Paulie Ostafin, Alex Lawyer, Alonzo Enriques and Avery Hofmann.

The Warriors face Joliet in next Saturday’s homecoming game in Morris .
