City's campaign for sports events making 1st pitch for corporate support

(MCT) — The Chicago Sports Commission, formed last year to attract athletic events to the city, will make its first formal pitch for corporate support at a reception today.

About 200 business and community leaders are expected to attend the private event, at which corporate membership programs will be presented, said Sam Stark, executive director of the organization, which is a branch of the city's convention bureau, Choose Chicago.
