Historical Society to discuss ‘linens and things’ of the past

“Linens and Things of the 1800s Prairie Family” is the topic of the Tuesday, Oct. 23 meeting of the Grundy County Historical Society.

Susie Johnson, president of the Gooselake Prairie Partners, will discuss what the settlers of the 1800s prairie would — and would not — have used for their textiles.  She will bring various samples of items they would have used in their prairie homes.
