Weather delays big car weekend

Lions show, Cruise Night now this weekend

A weekend that was supposed to be full of cars, trucks and other vehicles on display was postponed due to unfair weather predictions.

Both the Morris Lions Club Fall Classic Car Show, Swap Meet and Car Corral and the Morris Cruise Night were rescheduled to next weekend, Saturday, Oct. 20, and Sunday, Oct. 21, because the previous weekend was a wet one.

"When they were calling for thunderstorms, we were concerned with the liability with lightning in an open field," said Doug Linn with the Morris Lions Club.
