Coal City officials detail study during Chamber lunch event
COAL CITY — Business leaders from Coal City and beyond heard an update on a feasibility study that probed the possibility of the village contracting police services through the county.
The event was a Grundy County Chamber of Commerce luncheon held at Coal City Middle School and featuring the village's administrator, Matt Fritz, and police chief, Tom Best.
Fritz opened the discussion explaining the rationale for the study.
