VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Minooka wins its 20th

PLAINFIELD — Nine kills and 8 digs from Skyler Day helped Minooka end the varsity girls volleyball regular season with its 20th win Thursday, as it defeated Plainfield South 25-18, 27-25 in the Southwest Prairie Conference. Raven Burns had 4 kills for the Indians (20-7, 11-3), and Jessica Karalow and Ginger Perinar had 2 each. Kelli Holdstine added an ace, 8 digs and 6 assists.

Minooka completed an SPC title-winning season at the sophomore level with a 26-24, 25-11 win. It finished 26-4 overall and 14-0 in conference play.
