Mr. and Mrs. John (Zelda) King will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 27, 2012.

Mr. and Mrs. John (Zelda) King will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip planned to Branson, Mo., at a later date.

John King and the former Zelda Jerome were married at Hamilton Street Baptist Church in Kirksville, Mo., on Oct. 27, 1962.

They are parents of two children, Robin Howard of Wilmington, Ill. and Mark (Bobbi) King of Gardner, Ill. They also have five grandchildren, Trevor, Trent Howard, and Kylie, Tori King, and John Lawless.

John is retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company and Zelda retired from Braceville Grade School.

They have lived most of their married life in Braceville.
