Police: Morris homeowner confronts alleged burglar

Morris police are investigating a Monday morning attempted burglary incident.

According to a Morris Police Department release, at about 5:50 a.m., an unidentified suspect attempted to gain entry to a home in the 400 block of W. Jefferson Street. The homeowner confronted the suspect and the suspect fled the home on foot.

The homeowner told police the suspect was a white male and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.  Officers were unable to find the suspect after checking the area.
