Drawdown touts attractive auction list

Hull, Marshall jerseys among highlighted items

Several auction items are accumulating in the Grundy Community Volunteer Hospice office for the annual Drawdown fundraiser, which will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3,  at the Gardner American Legion Hall.

Tickets for the event are $50 per couple The donation includes a casual dinner catered by Griller-N-The Gourmet, beverages, a live auction, a silent auction, drawdown prizes and games.

Items for the auction include a Chicago Blackhawks’ jersey signed by Bobby Hull, a Chicago Bears’ jersey signed by Brandon Marshall, and a Cubs’ bat signed by Starlin Castro, all with with certificates of authenticity.

There also is a basket with various caps, which includes a signed hat by Michael Jordan, and a helmet signed by Greg Olsen when he played for the University of Miami.

There are many other various items, including tickets toa Notre Dame football game and an overnight stay in Chicago.

All are welcome to attend the event.  There will be some tickets available at the door.

The goal of Grundy Community Volunteer Hospice is to give its patients and families the best possible experience as they progresst hrough their difficult time and to teach and assist the family and/or friends to care for the patient at home.

GCVH is dedicated to providing services with a profound sense of love, compassion and understanding in which to experience the end of one’s life.

Proceeds from the Drawdown will be used to continue hospice care in Grundy County.
