Sen. Rezin sponsors October food pantry
Approximately 175 area families took part in the mobile food pantry in Gardner on Wednesday, Oct. 10, which was sponsored by Illinois State Senator Sue Rezin.
With a total of 10,959 pounds of food delivered, each household received approximately 62 pounds of food. Included in what they received was nine pounds of frozen meat and a wide variety of other items, including flour, hot dogs, cheese, lunchmeat, barbecue sauce, sweet potatoes, frozen yogurt bites, and bread.
