A man filed suit against another man for a 2010 car crash in Goose Lake Township, according to court records.

On Tuesday, Oct. 30, Patrick E. Klinckman filed a lawsuit in Grundy County Circuit Court against Joseph J. Kavanaugh for the Dec. 7, 2010, crash.

Klinckman alleged in the suit that he was driving west in the 8700 block of E. Pine Bluff Road when a vehicle driven by Kavanaugh, which was traveling east in the same block, collided with his vehicle after crossing the center line.

He alleges Kavanaugh was driving at an excessive and dangerous rate of speed, failed to give warning or reduce his speed to avoid an accident, and failed to drive on the right side of the road.

He’s seeking at minimum of $100,000 plus legal costs for severe and permanent personal and financial damages.

Robert I. Briskman of Chicago is Klinckman’s attorney.
