Dresden Station begins Unit 3 refueling outage

Workers to perform 4,000 inspections, maintenance activities

Operators at Exelon’s Dresden Generating Station removed the Unit 3 generator from service Monday, Nov. 12, to begin a planned refueling outage.

During the outage, Exelon employees and supplemental workers will perform maintenance activities and replace nearly one-third of the reactor’s fuel to keep the unit running safely and reliably for the next two-year operating cycle.
