Logan gets promotion to sergeant

He has been with police department 11 years

COAL CITY — There's a new sergeant in the Coal City Police Department.

Tom Logan, who has been with the department for 11 years, was formally recognized as sergeant at the Coal City Village Board meeting Monday night.

Trustee Terry Halliday read a brief biography for Logan, noting his roles in investigations and patrol, as well as an instructor in areas like pressure point defensive tactics and in Taser usage. He also touched on Logan's certifications as a juvenile officer and investigator, and his work as a field training officer for the department.

I will support it if it helps to lower my property taxes

I'm against any additional taxes
