Smoker & Turkey Raffle set for Nov. 21 in Newark
NEWARK — The Newark American Legion will hold the annual Smoker & Turkey Raffle.
This event was started just after the Second World War and has been going on ever since. Originally started as an event to get the men of the house out of the house while the women prepared the Thanksgiving meal the night before Thanksgiving, the event has evolved into a large event that includes cards, Texas Hold’em, pool, darts and socializing event.
