• Grundy County deputies arrested Matthew K. Hill, 20, of Coal City, for possession of a controlled substance, bringing contraband into a penal institution, unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe or needle and a Will County warrant at Reed Road and Berta Road, Coal City, Saturday, Nov. 17. He was held at the Grundy County jail pending a bond hearing. He was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no valid license.

• Grundy County deputies arrested Caitlin M. Ortiz, 18, of Romeoville, for driving under the influence of drugs at Stellon Street and Daley Street, Diamond. She was held on $300 bond. She was also cited for possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams and improper display of license plates.
