OTTAWA — Morris won all 3 games and the series Tuesday, defeating host Ottawa 2,790-2,681 in varsity girls bowling.
"(I) was satisfied with the outcome and pleased with (the) team's improvement," Morris coach Harry Banks said. "Scores were much more consistent than the first match."
Amber Benson led the Redskins (2-0) with a 641 series and a high game of 222. Jessica Winter had a 234 game in her 551 series.

OSWEGO —Zach Segatto exploded for a 755 series in the Southwest Prairie Conference dual, with a high game of 268. The Indians (5-1, 5-1) got a 691 from Jon Kaufmann.
Minooka lost 3,069-3.051 in the junior varsity match despite a 663 series from Kris Koesema.

Coal City vs. Mt. Zion, Pontiac
COAL CITY — The Coalers beat Mt. Zion 58-15 and Pontiac 54-19 Tuesday. Cody Minnick (106) and Jacob Frost (195) pinned both of their opponents. Other double winners included Corey Jurzak (120) and Casey Brown (126).
Seneca vs. Aurora Central Catholic, Ottawa
OTTAWA — The Fighting Irish (3-1) lost 42-39 to Ottawa but beat Aurora Central Catholic 55-9 Tuesday. Sage Friese (132), in a 16-7 major decision, and Brandon Webb (285), by fall in 58 seconds, beat state-ranked Ottawa opponents. Lucas Altabella, Tommy Lovett, Gary Wantroba and Webb were double winners.
"It was a good meet overall for us," Seneca coach Todd Yegge said. "It was a tough loss, but we'll bounce back."

BRAIDWOOD — Conner Anderson had 15 points and Eric Robinson 11 Tuesday for the host Comets. Gardner-South Wlmington, which trailed 46-30 at halftime, was led by 23 points from Tristan Noonan and 20 from Hunter Eutsey.
Reed-Custer improved to 3-1 at the sophomore level with a 69-46 win.

SOMONAUK — Three players — Nick Peters with 14 points, Brennen Shetina with 12 and Chris Jenke with 10 — reached double figures Tuesday for the Coalers (2-2).
"We were fortunate to escape with a road win tonight," Coal City coach Brad Boresi said. "We spotted them an early lead but were able to battle back."

DWIGHT — With 9 points, Danielle Hauch a Seneca (2-3, 1-0) scoring attack that featured points from 10 players Monday as Interstate Eight Conference play opened. Jacey Lamboley had 6 points and 5 rebounds.
"Our pressure in the first quarter got us off to a great start," Seneca coach Barb Beck said. "It was nice to see the balanced scoring we had tonight."
Lisa Bruner paced Dwight (0-5, 0-1) with 7 points and 13 rebounds.
The Lady Irish (4-0, 1-0) also won 42-15 at the sophomore level behind 11 points from Lexi Wilkinson and 9 from Willow Stuedemann.
