Six charged in Pontiac 'Cold Turkey' drug raids

(MCT) — PONTIAC — Six people were charged in Livingston County court following a drug investigation called “Operation Cold Turkey.”

Roman C. Stiff, 26, of Pontiac, Brandon A. Lindsey, 21, of East St. Louis, and Antonio Nesbitt, 21, of Sparta were charged with three counts each of unlawful possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver. Amanda Bennington, 27, Robert Bennington II, 25, and Kodi Shoemaker, 38, all of Pontiac, were each charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.

Each must posy $5,000 to be released.

Search warrants were executed Nov. 20 at homes in the 400 block of West Livingston Street and 400 block of West Cleary Street, both in Pontiac. Police found more than $700 in cash, approximately 5 grams of crack cocaine, marijuana, prescription drugs, 16 rounds of ammunition and drug paraphernalia and seized a 1992 Pontiac Bonneville.
