TAYLORVILLE, Ill. — Mrs. Romanza L. Beaty, 77, of Taylorville, Ill., died at 2:40 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at her residence.

She was born July 10, 1935, in Springfield, Ill., the daughter of Charles and Essie M. Applegate. On Nov. 27, 1955, she married Donald L. beaty at the Edinburg United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2008.

Mrs. Beaty was a member and trustee of Bethel Baptist Church in Sharpsburg, Ill. She farmed and was a member of the American Suffolk Association. She served as a baliff for the Christian County Courthouse following her retirement from A.F.S.C.M.E Council 31.
