Bears linebacker says he will appeal $15,750 penalty
(MCT) — CHICAGO — Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher told the Chicago Tribune he was fined $15,750 for a horse-collar tackle Sunday on Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.
The play occurred late in the fourth quarter of the Bears’ 28-10 victory at Soldier Field. Urlacher corralled Peterson near the sideline after a screen pass and then was slapped with a 15-yard penalty.
