Mall at the Hall makes holiday shopping easy
Chapin’s East plays host to Dec. 5 Ladies Night Out
MINOOKA – It’s going to be an exciting Ladies Night Out Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Chapin’s East in Minooka, where shoppers will eat, drink, shop and be merry.
Chapin’s East Banquets & Catering, 502 Twin Rail Dr., Minooka, is hosting its first Mall at the Hall Shopping Extravaganza from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 5. The entry fee is $5, which shoppers will get back right away upon entering and receiving a $5 drink ticket, as well as hors d’oeuvres and a wine tasting.
More than 40 local businesses and vendors will be on hand inside the banquet hall so people can do all their shopping in one neighborhood location.
“It’s going to be a fun girls night out for Christmas shopping and making a new tradition with your girlfriends,” said Sandi Hawk, event coordinator for Chapin’s East.
Shoppers will be able to buy on site and bring their purchases home with them that day.
Downtown Morris retailers as well as other vendors will be there such as 31, Affordable Elegance, Airbornne, Carlson Crafts, Avon, Apple Butter, Celebrating Home, Glass Blocks, Gigi Hill Bags, Gold Canyon, Grace Adele & Eclipse Candles, Green Peanut, Health Source Chiropractic, It Works, Jan Nelson Crafts, Jewel Kade, Lia Sophia, L’ Bri Pure n’ Natural, Lola’s, Mama T’s Tillandsias and Tiny Treasurers, Mary Kay, Miche Purses, Origami Owl, Pampered Chef, Paparazzi Palace, Paper by Peg, Patty Palcowski Crafts, Priceless Treasures, Pure Romance, Reliv, Someday Violet, Scentsy, Tastefully Simple, Teri’s Trinkets, Vault Tie Dyes by Terri, Tiny Creations, Tupperware, Vellaroma, Wild Tree, Willow House, and many more local crafters and artisans.
“We hope they can do as much shopping as they can in one place,” said Sarah O’Sullivan, general manager.
The event was created to create awareness of the banquet hall and to help local shops and vendors. This is the first of what is going to be a quarterly event.
Mall at the Hall will be held four times a year: March, June, September and December.
“It gives people the opportunity to see what ‘shop local’ means and is really like,” said Dianne Breslar, owner of the Chapin’s establishments with her husband Scott Breslar.
“Since we are located in both Morris and Minooka, shopping local means Channahon, Minooka and Morris to us, so we wanted to come together in one neighborhood place to show everyone what it’s all about and all that there is to offer,” Breslar said.
