Dite: Suspect taken into custody, but was later released

An Ohio man was stabbed in the leg Tuesday night in a field across from the Morris Chili's restaurant.

Morris police and the Grundy County State's Attorney's office are investigating the incident, but no one had been charged as of early Wednesday afternoon, said Morris Police Chief Brent Dite.

At about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night, officers responded to a report of a stabbing. The victim was interviewed at the scene and gave a description of the alleged suspect's vehicle. The vehicle was located on the 1100 block of Cemetery Road.
