‘Cut for a Cause’ to help Minooka teacher

MINOOKA — Minooka Hair Cuttery is hosting the “Cut for a Cause” haircut-a-thon fundraiser as well as a bake sale from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, to benefit Minooka Community High School teacher Sam Paveklka.

Pavelka, who is also a father, is battling Ewing’s sarcoma once again despite having been in remission for seven years. The cut-a-thon is raising funds for Pavekla and his family to help offset the financial burden.
