ROUNDUP: Seneca eighth-graders make state

BOURBONNAIS — Seneca defeated host St. George by a 42-26 final at the 8-2A St. George Girls Basketball Sectional late Thursday and qualified for the state finals.

Paige Hacker went 6-for-6 at the free-throw line and scored 9 points in the first quarter alone for Seneca, now 17-5. All of her teammates — Eva Bruno, Raquelle Dahlman, Emily Davis, Sarah Haines, Abby Hawk, Amariani Munoz, Rachel Sangston, Chloe Struck and Madison Van Ness — contributed to the win.
