Morris (5-2, 1-1) won 44-16 at the sophomore level. Its leading scorers were Tiffany Gonzalez with 9 points, Jessica Ponce with 8 and Emily Burling and Joanna Nowicki with 7.

MINOOKA — Larissa McLemen's 10 points, Kayla Finch's 9 and Erin Heide's 8 were not enough for the Indians Friday in the Southwest Prairie Conference.

Behind 14 points from Taylor Prieboy and 9 from Abbie Hoeg, the Indians (4-0 in the SPC) won the sophomore game 40-35.

Minooka also beat Romeoville 28-24 in the freshman "A" game, improving to 6-5 overall and 4-1 in the SPC. In the "B" game, the Indians (6-0, 5-0) won 25-14.


Iroquois West Tournament

GILMAN — Gardner-South Wilmington (5-6) split a pair of games Saturday, losing 67-20 to Iroquois West in the morning. Breann Fisher and Sam Schultz led the Lady Panthers with 6 points apiece.

Chelsea Schultz exploded for 25 points to lead GSW to a 55-36 win over Central in its second game. Fisher added 12.

OSWEGO — Taylor Prieboy had 12 points Monday for the Indians (10-1) at the Oswego Holiday Classic.

Rex Lewis Invitational

BUFFALO GROVE — Morris finished third with 129 points of 12 teams Saturday at Buffalo Grove. Kenny Baldridge (120) and Nik Countryman (195) won championships. The Redskins also had Jake Crowther (113) in second place, A.J. Vota (126) and Dalton Ness (220) in third, Justin Barkley (140) and Trevor Albert (160) in fourth and Ian Bernard (106) and Nick Lerma (220) in sixth.
