McTague takes over in Minooka for Butterbach
In addition to a change at the top at the Minooka wrestling program, another longtime coach had to be replaced this past offseason. Former Assistant Coach of the Year in 2010 by the Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association Mike Butterbach stepped down from his position over the summer.
"I didn't talk to Butters, but I know he's been pursuing his master's degree," Minooka's new head coach Jeff Charlebois said.
With Butterbach stepping down, that created another vacancy that Minooka athletic director Bob Tyrell had to fill. He filled it with a familiar face in Morris' Brian McTague.
