Dwight Woman's Club, Station 343 hosting Wine Tasting at Heritage Woods of Dwight on Dec. 18

DWIGHT — Want to impress your holiday guests with your wine choices when serving an exquisite dinner or luscious dessert?

Do you know when you should serve wine chilled or room temperature?  When should you choose a sweet red or a dry white?

If you’re not certain, then we can help you out!

Join the Dwight Woman’s Club at Heritage Woods of Dwight at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, become a wine connoisseur and impress your friends with your knowledge.

The Dwight Woman’s Club, along with Station 343, will be hosting a Wine Tasting at Heritage Woods of Dwight.  Station 343 is sponsoring Vintage Wines, one of the leading fine wine distributors in the state of Illinois, and a subsidiary of Winebow to do the presentation. 

Station 343 is graciously providing hors d’oeuvres and wine for this fabulous evening. Keep Station 343 in mind for all your entertaining needs this holiday season or any time you entertain.

There will be a raffle with a selection of baskets, gift certificates and other prizes.  Kick off your holiday season at Heritage Woods of Dwight.

Prizes will also be awarded for the “Ugliest Christmas Sweaters” worn by a man and by a woman, so dig those gems out of your closet.

Tickets for the Wine Tasting are on sale now for $15 per person.  Or, for a savings, purchase a table of four for $55.  Seating is limited, so call now. Contact Marcia Drach at (815) 252-3086, Lynn Neville at (815) 584-1161, or Cathy at Station 343 at (815) 584-9343. 

Dwight Woman’s Club, along with Heritage Woods of Dwight, is also hosting the Festival of Trees, so while you are there for the Wine Tasting, feel free to place a bid on a beautifully decorated tree or wreath.  Final bids are due at 8 p.m. that evening.

There are  27 trees of various sizes and shapes, and even an approximate 7’ metal tree.  The others range from table-top size to approximate 8 feet high. Help support your favorite charity or not-for-profit organization by bidding.

Proceeds from the successful bids will go to the following charities or not-for-profit organizations: Sturges-Weber Foundation, Saunemin Food Pantry, Fox Family & Friends, OSF Hospice, Joe Kuiken Scholarship Fund at Bradley/Bourbonnais High School, VFW Ladies Auxiliary for Veteran’s Programs, Operation: MOMS Cookies, Operation S.O.S., St. Peter’s Lutheran Church & Youth Group, Dwight United Methodist Church Missions,  Heritage Woods Activity Department, Starlights 4-H Club of Blackstone, Dwight Food Bank, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Proceeds for Dwight’s Local Jerry Beier, Future’s Unlimited, Livingston County Humane Society, Dwight Community Chest and Christmas for Kids.

Stop by anytime or come to the Wine Tasting Event on Dec. 18 and place a bid by 8 p.m. that evening.
