RAILS names Brennan new executive director

BURR RIDGE, Ill. — The Board of Directors of the Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Deirdre “Dee” Brennan to the position of executive director. RAILS is one of two regional, multitype library systems in the state.

The system serves more than 1,500 private, public, school, and university library members in a 27,000 square mile area. The Reaching Across Illinois Library System provides library services to member libraries in northern and western Illinois in three areas of concentration: van delivery, shared online catalogs, and Talking Book Services.
