Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 E. McArdle Road, Coal City, will hold two Christmas Eve services on Monday, Dec. 24 — at 6 and 11 p.m.
At 6 p.m., a family-oriented worship service is planned. Communion will not be served at this service.
The traditional candlelight and communion service will be at 11 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to worship at any or all of the services.
Immaculate Conception
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris will celebrate the Birth of Christ beginning with a 4 p.m. Mass on Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24.
There will also be Mass on Christmas Eve at 7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.
On Christmas Day, Masses will be at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. The 2 p.m. Mass will be in Spanish.
The people of Immaculate Conception Parish and Fr. Ed Howe, pastor, welcome all who wish to celebrate the birth 2012 years ago of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. They offer a special invitation for Catholics who have been away to come home.

Living Water
Living Water Church of the Nazarene will host a Christmas Eve Candle Light Worship Service at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24.
Everyone is welcome to begin the Christmas celebration with music, scripture, and Holy Communion.

Friends in Christ Lutheran Church, 180 E. Waverly in Morris, recently announced the holiday worship schedule for 2012.
Christmas Eve Service at 7 p.m. Dec. 24 will feature a Candlelight Service with Readings, Carols, and other special music.
Christmas morning features a Christmas Festival Service with Communion.
Friends in Christ invites everyone from Morris and the surrounding area to these services.

Channahon UMC
Channahon United Methodist, 24751 W. Eames (U.S. 6), Channahon, will present its adult and children’s Christmas cantata on Sunday, Dec. 23.
The cantata will take place during the church’s 9 a.m. worship. There will be no 10:30 a.m. service that day.
The community is also invited to take part in Christmas Eve candlelight services at 4, 6:30 and 11 p.m.
First United Methodist
The First United Methodist Church of Morris, 118 W. Jackson St., will celebrate the joy of Christmas beginning on Saturday, Dec. 22, with its contemporary Saturday Evening Worship Service at 6 p.m.
On Sunday, Dec. 23, at 9 a.m. will be the morning worship service with the Rev. Scott McClellan giving the message. Special music will be by the Chancel choir, Kid’s choir and Handbell choir.
Refreshments and fellowship will follow worship, with Sunday School for adults and children at 10:30 a.m.
On Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24, at 5 p.m., a family-oriented service will be held – “A Festival of Lessons and Carols.” Come, hear the beloved Christmas story and sing several of our favorite Christmas hymns.
The Christmas story will be read by members of the 8th Grade Confirmation Class. Pastor Deb Percell will give a children’s message. Kerry Dite & Laurie Allen will sing a duet.
The service will conclude with candle lighting (family style) as the congregation sings “Silent Night” together.
At 9 p.m., the church will have its traditional candlelight service. Pastor Scott McClellan will share the Christmas message.
The service will feature lots of music, including Charles Butts and Barb Ewalt singing “Quiet Night, Wondrous Sight,” Steve Holtan singing “O Holy Night,” and a trio featuring Barb Ewalt, Sandra Wols and John Cravens singing “The Cradle Song.”
The service will conclude with the spreading of the light of Christ while the congregation sings “Silent Night, Holy Night.”
First United Methodist invites everyone to celebrate the Good News of Christmas.
Peace Lutheran
Peace Lutheran Churchn will present its Christmas Vespers concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23.
Vespers means “evening prayers”.
The concert will be filled with carols, choirs, and candlelight. There will be piano/organ duets, a bell choir, a guitar ensemble, and adult choir.
Everyone is invited to attend to prepare our hearts with joy and music for the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Following the concert Christmas cookies will be served.
A candlelight worship service will be held at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24, at Peace Lutheran Church.
Everyone is invited to come and celebrate, worship and rejoice in the birth of Christ with joy, fellowship, and song. Holy communion will be offered to everyone.

GARDNER — The United Lutheran Church, Pine an Jefferson streets, Gardner, invites the community to attend its Christmas Eve Candlelight service “O Holy Night” at 11 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 24.
