Lois F. Locknar
Mrs. Lois F. Locknar, 74, died peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Morris Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center following a couragous battle with cancer with her family by her side.
Born in Chicago, Lois was a long-time Joliet area resident before retiring to Morris 10 years ago. She was a graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing, graduating as class president in 1958. She was a lifelong registered nurse, retiring in 2000.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Raymond Locknar of Morris; two sons, Steve (Ellen) of Bahama, N.C., and Greg (Chris) Locknar of Summerville, S.C.; two daughters, Lori (Don) Mangers of Oswego, Ill., and Janet (Tim) Konicek of Rockford, Ill.; 10 grandchildren, Leslie (Derek) Elmer, Ashley Locknar, Breann and Megan Locknar, Dave and Jeffrey (Kate) Zak, Danny Mangers, Rebecca, Erin and Christina Konicek; one great-grandchild, Drayton Elmer; three sisters, Muriel (Ray) Graham of Mundelein, Ill., Carol (Ron) Mazurek of Dunwoody, Ga., and Marilyn (Charlie) Herbig of Coral Springs, Fla.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
