Senkerik named Student of the Month

MINOOKA — Minooka Community High School senior Danielle Senkerik was named the December “Student of the Month” by the Channahon-Minooka Rotary Club.

Senkerik, the daughter of George and Jennifer Senkerik of Shorewood, maintains a 4.0 grade-point-average (on a 4.0 scale) and is active at MCHS as a member of National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society (historian) and senior class committee. She has also been named an Illinois State Scholar by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.

Outside of MCHS, Senkerik serves as a junior high youth ministry leader and high school ministry student leader for Southfield Church.

After high school, Senkerik plans to attend either the University of Iowa or the University of Missouri. She also plans to declare a major in the near future.
