Question & Answer with Morris wrestler Justin Barkley

As the winter season hits its signature holiday break, the Morris wrestling team really couldn't ask to be in a better position. Despite a delayed start to the season because the Redskins football team played in the Class 5A State finals, the locals are around .500 as a team in dual action and they've represented well at tournaments.

In addition to that, the team's returning state qualifiers look to be where they need to be in order to be wrestling down at Assembly Hall again in February. One of those three is senior Justin Barkley.

Before heading off on the holiday break and after the last practice, Barkley agreed to engage the Morris Daily Herald as this week's Question & Answer subject. Here what was exchanged.

What is your stance on a proposed 1 percent sales tax to fund local school building projects?

I'm in favor of anything that will help improve school finances
I will support it if it helps to lower my property taxes
I oppose it because I don't believe it will impact property taxes and I will just pay twice
I'm against any additional taxes
I have not heard enough yet to form an opinion
